I have collected/purchased hundreds of fonts over my 13 year design career. I thought I would share my favorite "go-to" fonts (some are free) that I usually start with when beginning any design project. I start a page in Illustrator where I type out the word(s) and then duplicate it and try out all of these fonts. I evaluate the feel, the letterforms, uppers/lowers, different versions (italic, small cap), etc. They also help me narrow down the category that I think best fits the design. Sans Serif, Serif, Condensed, Script, Distressed, Vintage, etc. I hope these beauties help you on your next creative adventure!
