Hello everyone! I hope you had a lovely holiday! We decided to head north to St. Joe, Michigan. We visited my Grandmother, some Aunts and some cousins. We had informal dinners, swam in my Aunt's pool, had a cook out and caught up with family.
It was a weekend of "firsts" as my parents call them. We participated in an estate sale for the first time. To be honest, it felt a bit like we were robbing some nice old couple who had recently passed away. I did not intend to buy anything, but this little pink-peachy feminine swivel rocker chair jut kept whispering to me. It said, "I am the chair you have been looking for for the playroom." The tag said $125, but an Aunt mentioned that at noon it would be 50% off. $63! Yes please. I parked my butt in that chair and didn"t budge. I am happy to report that I am writing this post from my new chair in my daughter's playroom.
Gianna had some firsts as well. She had her first swim in a big pool. She would play with her toys along the edge and then wander onto the steps. I would swim up under water and tickle her toes and she would bob out with me and then I would return her to the steps. Lather rinse repeat. I love to see her delight in new things.
She also visited Lake Michigan and played in the sand for the first time. At first, she did not like it and wanted to be picked up. We gave her a bucket, shovel and sifter. She dug right in and was soon covered in sand. She built sandcastles with my parents, while Jay and I took a walk along the water.
It was a relaxing weekend and just the recharge we all needed before diving into this busy week. I have a logo due and Gianna and I start our Moms Group on Friday. Busy. Kisses to you all!
