Vale Design is a freelance design agency specializing in package design and branding. Areas of expertise: consumer packaged goods, food, and housewares. Services include: package design, brand and SKU extensions, brand exploration, identity, front end web design, social networking consultation, print, and business identity systems.
After graduating from Purdue University in 2000 with a degree in Visual Communications Design, owner/designer Erin Vale headed for Chicago. For the next several years, she fell in love with the city, the design community, package design, and branding. Since founding Vale Design in 2006, she has been able to focus that passion for packaging and people as a freelance designer/Art Director collaborating with talented design firms, Creative Directors, and national and international brands. With 12 years experience, she strives as a freelancer to come into each design project with a fresh outside approach, backed with competitive analysis research, and produce solutions from comfortable close-ins to innovative far-out extremes. In 2009, Erin opened finch&hawk, an online shop that combines her love for pattern and packaging and features favor box printables and paper goods.
Erin currently lives in Indiana with her husband, daughter and their mischievous dog, Daisy. When not designing for her clients, she loves to snuggle up to her baby girl, practice yoga, cook and take nature walks to observe her favorite birds: hawks and American Goldfinches.
