I collect bird illustrations, photography and little bird statues. So naturally, I have been looking for the perfect little bird illustration to sneak into our daughter's nursery. Loving this Blue Orange Chevron printed piece by Riki Zarris! Beautiful art for only $35! The Riki Zarris Etsy shop has lovely patterned artwork in varying color palettes for very reasonable prices. Give to a friend as a hostess gift or just keep it for yourself...or do both!

This is some of the most beautiful artwork I have seen in a long time. I love the sketchy quality, layering and mixed media of these illustrations by BalletArt. The ballerina imagery evokes memories of my days in art history classes studying Degas and his ballerinas and the breathtaking day that I was able to see those drawings in real life at Musee D'Orsay in Paris. I loved this shop so much that I could not just pick four images like I normally do for Etsy Finds. These ballerinas would be so precious in a little girls bedroom! For me, I think I will be purchasing that little bird for my bird illustration wall. Simply lovely.

Confession: I hate decorating my house. It causes me stress. I have a phobia of hanging pictures. Seriously, I need a support group.
However, two weeks ago I decided that it was time to start finishing up the major projects around the house. We have been in our house 4 years and I am ashamed to say that our master suite has been neglected. White walls. No window treatments. Boring. Side note: I had the office professionally finished with gorgeous built-ins our first year in the house. My priorities might be backwards...Anyway, I am going to be working on the following projects the remainder of the year. I have been swimming around the internet non-stop the past couple of weeks and have begun to pull images and make notes. I like neutrals with vintage, antique, snarky and eclectic pieces mixed in. Illustrator Jen Renninger combines "sophisticated painting and line-work with nostalgic collage materials." Finally, someone who loves, appreciates and sees birds the same way I do. Geninne's Art Store has some of the loveliest watercolor and acrylic ink illustrations I have seen. I wrote an earlier post about Geninne's blog that you can check out here. These images and colors have me daydreaming of spring. This one is definitely my favorite. {**hint, hint, husband!**}
